The Ecosystem space is focused on making Canva the default design layer everywhere work happens — in every AI assistant, every enterprise tool, every workflow. At the same time, it’s supercharging Canva’s AI capabilities by connecting them to the systems people use every day, bringing their team, context and brand into their work at every step.
It’s a space with significant growth potential and strategic importance. We’re looking for someone who can partner at a senior level, connect data to long-term vision, and help set crazy big goals — then make them happen.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva continues to scale its Ecosystem Platform and AI integrations, data plays a crucial part in understanding how its products and partnerships help Canva drive user acquisition, retention and enterprise adoption.
This role will see you:
•
Acting as the strategic data partner to Product and Engineering leads across the Ecosystem space
•
Defining and owning the long-term measurement strategy for Canva’s app ecosystem - how these products get adopted (especially in AI-powered experiences and workflows), how partnerships go to market, and how app developers succeed.
•
Identifying step-change growth opportunities and helping the supergroup set bold, data-informed goals
•
Leading experimentation strategy and creating robust decision frameworks
•
Establishing how AI system evals (both online and offline) can be turned into a data source that informs product decisions.
•
Proactively identifying opportunities where data insights can contribute to other parts of the business (e.g. Sales)
•
Coaching and growing senior data scientists while raising the bar for strategic thinking and influence across Canva’s data science discipline
•
Anticipating future risks and opportunities in a quickly evolving space through proactive insight generation
You’re probably a match if
•
You’ve operated as a senior data leader and trusted thought partner to Product leadership
•
You think in systems and can connect multiple product surfaces into one clear measurement strategy
•
You’re strong in experimentation, but equally strong in ambiguous, exploratory problem spaces
•
You’ve had experience with SQL as well as Python or R
•
You influence through clarity - simplifying complexity and helping teams make confident decisions
•
You’ve driven impact in high-growth or zero-to-one product areas
•
You’re energised by bold goals and building strategy in emerging spaces
Bonus if:
•
You’ve defined north-star metrics and success frameworks for entirely new product categories
•
You’ve worked with app marketplaces, API developer platforms or MCP server products
•
You’ve brought value to go-to-market teams through data and insights
