- Process and maintain the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable for various entities
- Manage AP contracts and subscriptions and coordinate renewals
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and assist onboard new vendors
- Perform full cycle bookkeeping functions for other Beedie-owned businesses
- Maintain accurate record keeping by performing bank, credit card, intercompany, and other account reconciliations and resolving identified discrepancies as necessary
- Assist with treasury functions including online banking, bank deposits, and cash balance monitoring
- Assist the corporate cash flow budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare and file GST/PST returns
- Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Prepare tax returns including T1, T2, T3, charity, and other tax returns as needed
- Liaise with family members and internal teams to support various initiatives
- Provide general office administration and assist with special projects as needed
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Yardi)
- Proficient in MS Office package, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and experience with tax software (e.g., Taxprep, iFirm) is an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Organized self starter, able to adapt and problem solve with minimal supervision
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a humble work ethic
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
- Self-Aware and open to learning new things
