Role Overview

The Senior Engineer II, Global Product Management drives revenue growth, gross margin expansion, and customer success across key semiconductor accounts such as Intel, Micron, and TSMC. This role develops aftermarket strategies, strengthens customer relationships, and promotes service-based business models that increase recurring revenue and customer value. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Business Units, and Global Services teams, the position focuses on reducing cost of ownership through parts lifecycle improvements, sourcing strategies, consumables optimization, and product design enhancements. The role also supports technical escalations, leads aftermarket activities for new product introductions, and develops pricing strategies to achieve business and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage strategic semiconductor customer accounts (e.g., Intel, Micron, TSMC), with full accountability for revenue growth, contract alignment, customer engagement, and aftermarket business strategy.
  • Drive revenue and gross margin (GM) expansion by transforming customer relationships from transactional sales agreements to value-driven service and lifecycle management programs.
  • Build and strengthen trusted customer partnerships by fostering strong working relationships with both customer stakeholders and internal account teams.
  • Reduce Cost of Ownership (COO) for customers by improving spare parts lifetime, optimizing repair and refurbishment strategies, and developing alternate/second-source solutions in collaboration with Engineering, Surface Technology, Commodity Management, and other Global Spares & Services teams.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of ASM's key product portfolios, including ALD, PEALD, and EPI systems, to effectively support customer discussions and technical escalation management.
  • Partner with Equipment Business Units during product development to enhance aftermarket readiness, driving design improvements focused on serviceability, cleanability, pre-assembly efficiency, and Build-on-Test (BOT) enablement.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) tollgate activities by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define spare parts and consumables requirements, develop consumables cost models, and execute cost-reduction roadmaps that improve the overall Cost of Consumables (CoC).
  • Develop and execute customer spare parts pricing strategies, working closely with regional commercial teams to achieve business plan (BP) objectives for revenue, profitability, and customer value.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders globally to align aftermarket strategies, improve operational efficiency, and maximize customer satisfaction throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Material Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering required. Masters or PhD preferred.
  • 3+ years in account management and commercial leadership experience within the semiconductor equipment, aftermarket services, or related high-technology industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer success through service-based business models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and influence decisions across global organizations.
