  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding the tax impact of investment activity and portfolio transactions.
  • Assist in evaluating tax considerations associated with equities, fixed income instruments, derivatives, and other complex financial products.

  • Coordinate with auditors, administrators, and external advisors to resolve reporting issues and maintain consistency across tax workstreams.
  • Track changes in tax legislation, regulatory guidance, and reporting requirements relevant to investment management businesses.
  • Help strengthen internal controls, operating procedures, and governance documentation related to tax operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operational risk, and enhance reporting accuracy across tax processes.
  • Participate in strategic projects and operational initiatives supporting the continued growth of the platform.
  • 5+ years of experience within investment management tax, partnership taxation, or public accounting environments.
  • Background supporting hedge funds, private funds, alternative investments, or managed account structures preferred.
  • Familiarity with partnership allocations, investor reporting, and fund-related tax compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of tax treatment for financial instruments including derivatives, swaps, and other structured transactions.
  • Ability to interpret complex tax matters and communicate implications effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working alongside external accounting firms, fund administrators, and audit teams.
  • CPA designation and/or advanced taxation degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with large financial datasets.
