Your Role in Our Story:

In essence, your role involves:

  • Acting as the subject-matter expert for key sustainability compliance products across your region, supporting teams across renewable fuels, gases and energy products.
  • Ensuring our products and activities meet relevant regulatory and sustainability certification requirements, including ISCC, RED II/III, Mass Balance, RFS, LCFS and related frameworks.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and translating new requirements into practical changes to processes, controls and ways of working.
  • Leading and coordinating regional certification and accreditation audits, ensuring strong preparation, smooth execution and consistently high compliance standards.
  • Assessing complex trades, supply chains, feedstocks, Proof of Sustainability documentation and GHG calculations, providing clear sustainability compliance go/no-go advice.
  • Working closely with Sales, Trading, Operations, Legal, Risk and Finance to identify compliance risks and opportunities and enable informed, risk-based business decisions.
  • Analysing transactional data flows and identifying systemic issues, using your insights to strengthen data integrity, reporting and operational processes.
  • Representing ACT with regulators, certification bodies, auditors and industry forums, while helping shape emerging compliance frameworks and protecting ACT’s licence to operate.

Your Expertise:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A university degree in environmental science, engineering, law or a related field, combined with 4–6+ years of relevant experience in sustainability or product compliance.
  • Strong expertise in renewable fuels, biomethane, gas trading, energy efficiency or regulated environmental commodities.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability certification and regulatory frameworks such as ISCC EU, RED II/III, Mass Balance, chain of custody, REC, LCFS, RFS and RPS.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, international and multicultural environment, ideally collaborating closely with Sales and Operations teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory requirements and turn them into practical, scalable solutions.
  • The confidence to independently navigate complex and ambiguous compliance situations, exercise sound judgement and drive improvements without needing constant guidance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence across functions and geographies without direct authority.
  • A clear and confident English communicator, with the credibility to act as a subject-matter expert, coach colleagues and represent ACT externally. Fluency in French or Spanish would be an advantage.

If you meet these criteria and are ready to contribute your expertise to a dynamic and challenging environment, we encourage you to apply.
