About this role
- Lead and provide oversight on major, cross-functional initiatives across the organization, ensuring strong execution and measurable results from kickoff through delivery.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership - translating high-level priorities into clear plans, owners, milestones, and success metrics, and keeping everyone aligned and accountable.
- Drive day-to-day execution across teams, proactively identifying risks and dependencies, removing roadblocks, and keeping initiatives on schedule and on budget.
- Establish and maintain the cadence of the business - running planning sessions, status reviews, and executive updates that keep leadership informed and initiatives on track.
- Build clear, decision-ready reporting and dashboards that give leadership visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes across the initiative portfolio.
- Coordinate and align stakeholders across departments - engineering, risk management, operations, technology, business development, and external partners - to ensure the right people are engaged at the right time.
- Own communication and follow-through on key decisions, ensuring action items are documented, assigned, and completed.
- Continuously improve how the organization plans, prioritizes, and executes, bringing structure and discipline to complex, fast-moving efforts without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Step in as needed to lead special projects and high-priority efforts on behalf of leadership, operating with sound judgment and discretion.
- 7+ years of experience in project management, program management, chief of staff, strategy and operations, management consulting, or a similar role leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- A proven track record of driving execution and delivering results across multiple simultaneous initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align people across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Sound business judgment and the ability to operate with discretion, ownership, and a bias toward action.
- Experience in the deregulated energy industry (procurement, supply, retail energy, commodity markets, sustainability, or a related field) is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with modern project management, collaboration, and reporting tools, and comfort using AI tools and other technologies to improve workflows and deliverables.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus but not required.
