Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Network Support Engineer responsible for managing enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring system uptime, and handling security operations. The role involves hands-on experience with firewalls, servers, virtualization, and troubleshooting network-related issues across corporate environments.
Network & Infrastructure Management • Administer and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks ensuring high availability and performance • Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches (Cisco), and wireless infrastructure • Implement and troubleshoot VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies • Monitor network performance and proactively identify bottlenecks or vulnerabilities Firewall & Security Management • Configure and manage firewalls (Sophos, Checkpoint) including NAT, VPN, and security policies • Implement and maintain IPS/IDS, DMZ architecture, and SSL/TLS inspection rules • Monitor network traffic using tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and SolarWinds • Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions Server & System Administration • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2012 R2 / 2016) environments • Manage Active Directory infrastructure including GPO, LDAP, FSMO roles, and replication • Administer core services such as DNS, DHCP, and backup systems • Handle virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware VPN & Remote Access Management • Configure and support VPN solutions including IPsec, SSL, and Site-to-Site VPNs • Manage secure remote access for users and troubleshoot connectivity issues IT Operations & Support • Perform routine hardware and software maintenance across systems • Provide L2/L3 support for network and system-related incidents • Follow ITIL processes including incident management, change management, and patch management • Maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides User & System Support • Support Office 365 configuration and user management • Configure and troubleshoot email systems and end-user connectivity • Provide technical support for hardware, OS (Windows/Linux/Mac), and network issues
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing Protocols) • Hands-on experience with firewall configuration (Sophos/Checkpoint preferred) • Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory • Experience with network monitoring and security tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nmap) • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) • Familiarity with Office 365 administration • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / IT or related field • Certifications such as CCNA / CCNP / Microsoft Certified / Security certifications are an advantage • Experience in corporate or enterprise IT environments
• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-user environment • Good communication and documentation skills
