Remote USCIS Case Assistant VA

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC.  The is looking for a  Remote USCIS Case Assistant VA to join our growing USCIS immigration department. You will report directly to the Legal Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and case management skills. We're looking for someone with knowledge of client support, and legal research tasks to help facilitate the process for clients seeking to adjust their immigration status to lawful permanent resident, This legal assistant will participate in all aspects of our cases, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing of applications and petitions.
Responsibilities


• Client Intake & Documentation Collection

• Form Preparation & Filing

• Communication with Clients

• Liaison with Government Agencies (USCIS)

• Review & Maintain Case Files

• Legal Research & Assistance

• Prepare for AOS Interview & Hearing

• Handle RFEs (Requests for Evidence)

• Prepare for AOS Denial & Appeals (If Applicable)

• Work with Other Legal Professionals

• Post-Filing Support (EAD, Advance Parole)

• Case Closure

Qualifications


• 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience.

• Knowledge of provididing necessary documents, such as Form I-485

• Experience with Case Management Software
