ABOUT THE ROLE
The Trade Finance Specialist serves as a key contributor to the promotional spend and financial operations within the Accounts Receivable (AR) organization, which includes collections, cash posting, deductions, and trade finance. This role partners closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and timely month-end support. This role is based in our New York City office and reports directly to the Trade Finance Manager.
As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES


• Process high-volume customer national billback documentation from multiple sources and file formats (Excel, PDF, text documents, etc.)

• Maintain the national expense database and ensure accuracy of billback amounts, case counts, and related records

• Execute and post monthly national billback uploads in the ERP system in alignment with close timelines, supporting accurate financial reporting and customer account reconciliation

• Partner with Sales and Accounts Receivable to resolve billback discrepancies and reduce outstanding balances

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payments and proper application of billbacks

• Serve as a key stakeholder for national expenses and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required


• 2-3 years of relevant experience in CPG trade planning or deductions management

• Experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems

• Strong understanding of customer program allowances and promotional pricing

• Must have attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred


• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Access

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.).

• Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to broader team objectives

• Experience with Altair Monarch and Microsoft SQL Server Management

 
SALARY RANGE
Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be  $55,000-$65,000.
Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferable skills, the Company will determine, at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
