THE ROLE

We're hiring a Field Marketing Manager to own the West Coast market. You'll be the face of GovDash in San Diego and Los Angeles, embedded in the GovCon community, running events, activating partnerships, and serving as the in-market connection point for a sales team based in New York and D.C.

This is an in-person, field-first role. The work happens in rooms, not on Zoom, at NDIA meetups, AFCEA mixers, Gold Coast matchmaking sessions, and the smaller dinners and community gatherings that don't make the conference calendar. If you've spent time in the San Diego GovCon ecosystem, whether through events, recruiting, BD, or community work, and you've built genuine relationships there, we want to talk.

San Diego and LA are your priority markets. Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, and Alaska are your expansion states as you grow into the role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Build and own the West Coast event calendar: community events, meetups, tradeshows, and partner activations: starting with San Diego and LA, expanding into Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, and Alaska.

- Show up for GovDash at NDIA, AFCEA, SDMAC, Gold Coast, and the broader SD/LA GovCon association ecosystem.

- Cultivate relationships with organizers, primes, small businesses, and industry leaders. The goal is to become a trusted, known presence in the community, not just a vendor with a booth.

- Own event logistics end-to-end: venues, vendors, budgets, shipping, timelines.

- Capture short-form video content for LinkedIn and field campaigns. Phone-quality is fine; authenticity matters more than production value.

- Work closely with AEs and SDRs in New York and D.C. on account targeting, event outreach, and post-event follow-up to convert activity into pipeline.

- Bring West Coast market intel, competitive signals, and community feedback back to the broader GTM team.

- Support cross-functional marketing needs as needed: webinars, campaigns, content.

What You'll Bring

- 3–6 years of experience in events, community building, field marketing, partnerships, recruiting, BD, or another role that put you in rooms with GovCon decision-makers.

- Familiarity with the San Diego GovCon ecosystem; the associations, the events, the community rhythms. You don't need to have every relationship already; you need to know the landscape and be someone people want to know. Experience in the LA market is a plus.

- Some experience running events or programs end-to-end, small gatherings and large tradeshows both count.

- Comfort working alongside Sales teams and understanding how field activity connects to pipeline.

- Willingness to travel regularly within Southern California and periodically to Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, and Alaska.

- Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to use them to move faster and work smarter.
