Supply Chain Planning Specialist
Location: Marietta, OH
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually, with higher pay available based on qualifications and experience
Position Summary
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support manufacturing operations through production planning, purchasing, inventory coordination, and material management. This position plays a key role in ensuring that materials are available when needed, production schedules remain on track, and inventory is managed efficiently throughout the manufacturing process.
The successful candidate will bring experience in a manufacturing setting, strong ERP/MRP system knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
• Create and maintain material plans that support manufacturing and production requirements. • Manage purchasing activities for production materials, components, and operational supplies. • Monitor material movement throughout the manufacturing process, from procurement and receiving through assembly and shipment preparation. • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain inventory records and support production scheduling activities. • Partner with production, operations, warehouse, and inventory teams to ensure materials are available when required. • Source and procure manufacturing components, including electrical materials such as wiring, cabling, meters, and related products. • Maintain accurate purchasing, planning, and inventory data within company systems. • Investigate and resolve supply chain issues, including shortages, delayed deliveries, and inventory discrepancies. • Analyze inventory levels and support efforts to improve material flow and planning efficiency. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, inventory control, and production planning.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, material planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain function. • Experience working in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment. • Proficiency with ERP/MRP software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms. • Strong understanding of inventory management, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling processes. • Experience sourcing and purchasing manufacturing materials and electrical components. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• APICS certification or other relevant supply chain credential. • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• This is a fully onsite position that works closely with manufacturing, operations, inventory, and purchasing teams. The role is ideal for professionals who enjoy balancing planning, procurement, and material coordination responsibilities within a production-focused environment.
