Public Affairs Volunteer

• Assist with preparation and implementation of volunteer and outreach events, such as tabling at public events, crowd canvassing, action nights, etc • Learning and entering in data collected • Phone Banking • Policy advocacy at state and federal levels • Work with patients to collect and develop stories for advocacy projects
• Passion for reproductive health and rights for all, including abortion and gender affirming care • Ability to problem solve • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism as a representative of Planned Parenthood’s well-known and widely-trusted brand • Interest in reproductive health care, education, and women and gender studies issues • Ability to communicate with public about PPNNE health services, mission and goals • Previous organizing experience a plus, but not required • Occasional weekend and evening availability • Means to travel throughout Southern and Mid-Coast Maine a plus, but not required
