The Mission

Perk Events is our tech-first approach to Group Travel and Corporate Events / MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events). We're moving from start-up to scale-up and we're looking for a Head of Sales to lead that next phase. This is a senior people leadership role with full commercial accountability: an opportunity to shape a team, own a P&L, and help change how the events industry works.
What You’ll Do
People leadership
- Lead and develop a global team of ~35 Event Specialists and Managers
- Set clear performance standards, coach and develop talent, and build a strong team culture
- Drive change across a large, growing team - bringing people with you along the journey
Commercial accountability
- Own revenue targets, converting pipeline into booked events and hitting quarterly goals consistently
- Set KPIs, report on performance, find the gaps, and drive growth
- Work with Finance and RevOps on planning and forecasting
Operational excellence
- Define and embed quality standards across the team
- Build strong relationships with our Sales organisation - Account Managers are a critical pipeline source and this role needs to own that relationship
- Partner with our product team (Builders) to make sure the roadmap reflects what the team needs on the ground
Tech and innovation
- Drive adoption of the Perk Events platform within your team
- Use AI and automation to improve how the team operates - you see this as a competitive advantage, not an afterthought
What We're Looking For
- Strong people leader - this is the top priority. You've built and led large, global teams. You know how to develop talent, drive change, and keep engagement high through growth and ambiguity. You're a coach first, a manager second.
- Commercial and operational background - not a pure sales profile. You've owned a P&L or equivalent accountability. You can set KPIs, run a review rhythm, and close the gap when you're behind. Think: head of operations with commercial accountability.
- Tech or startup experience - you've worked in a tech company or fast-growing start-up and have the mindset to match. You see AI and automation as how we build our edge. You are persistent, resilient, and possess a "humble & scrappy" get-it-done attitude. You thrive in the chaos of a scale-up.
- Travel or events industry knowledge - you understand the landscape: corporate travel, group bookings, the supplier ecosystem. Deep MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conferences and Events) expertise is not required - the team has that covered. What matters is the commercial and operational instinct to lead it.
What We're Not Looking For
Someone with a traditional MICE or agency background who expects to operate the way the industry always has. We're building something different and the leader we hire needs to see that as the opportunity.

1. Revenue - driving adoption of Events across our existing customer base
2. Conversion - win rate of customer opportunities to booked events
3. Quality - customer satisfaction and retention
4. Team - engagement and development of the Events Sales team

At Perk, we take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such, this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs.
