• Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and intellectual rigor. • Leverage your background in system design and engineering to guide technical architecture and code quality. • Partner closely with US-based product, design, and executive teams to align on vision and delivery. • Lead hiring efforts in Taipei to scale the engineering organization, implementing necessary structures and processes without sacrificing speed. • Handle and re-prioritize a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, turning challenges into opportunities to level up.
• A background as a former engineer with a deep understanding of system design. • 5+ years of experience in Engineering; 2+ years minimum of experience managing engineering teams. • Proven experience in a fast-moving startup • High English and Mandarin proficiency to communicate effectively with a global team. • A total willingness to work flexible, nightly hours to collaborate with our U.S. team. • A clear leadership philosophy and the ability to mentor leads and scale structures. • Experience in Fintech, Marketplaces, or Healthcare is a significant plus.
