Are you passionate about end user support and want to work for a company that truly cares about their clients?
We are looking for an upbeat and proactive Deskside Consultant for our BC branch located in Vancouver to support our clients on-site in Vancouver in the lower mainland! In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and provide an excellent customer experience, while building your experience and growing your career with Long View.
The successful candidate will be required to travel between multiple sites across Vancouver; as such, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are recommended. The successful candidate will start working hybrid and then move to fully onsite in July supporting our client. This will be a 6 month contract to start with the potential of extension or conversion to employee in the future.

• Provide IT End User support and troubleshooting of Desktop devices, mobile/phone devices, printer devices, Audio/Visual equipment and other related IT devices and services that are deemed part of the Digital Workplace (Remote and in-person) • Work with other IT teams to troubleshoot issues with voice network, data network and cloud services as needed • Deploy laptops and peripherals to new and existing users in line with team standards • Ensure that end-user environments are effectively maintained and supported • Responsible for site components of regionally or globally run technology projects that require local technology touch and participates in these projects as needed • Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders and service providers to deliver on technology requirement • Deploy mobile devices (phones / tablets) to users and assist with set-up and/or troubleshooting • Responsible for operational support of office technology, including but not limited to, printers, scanners, copiers, audio visual equipment, video conferencing systems, electronic displays and meeting room equipment • Participate in regional IT Team meetings to align and offer consistent service delivery across region • Provide appropriate identification, tracking, escalation, communication for issues to customer base, suggestions for enhancement of all aspects of end user support services, and mentoring, coaching and development for less experienced team members on-site and remote • Contribute to continuous improvement of end-user support delivery for Newmont regional or site technology operations, service planning, service quality and SLA performance, issue resolution and customer satisfaction. • Complies with and ensures team compliance to Client's IT security and technology standards in delivery of service • Become familiar with and adheres to Client's Health, Safety Security and Environment Policies, Standards and Procedures. Models the behavior required to comply with and support these standards and practices • Consistently demonstrate and encourage safe work practices • Promote and comply with Client goals and values
• 5+ years of IT support experience, including experience supporting a Microsoft environment in a Desktop Support Role • Knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, remote access tools • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments • Experience with: • -> Microsoft Office O365 • -> Remote support • -> PC / printer hardware / VPN / Citrix • -> Active Directory • Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately and work to resolve them • Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Post-secondary education in a related field • CompTIA A+ Certification • Microsoft Certifications
