About this role
• Create new CNC programs from scratch using Mastercam for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop accurate machining strategies • Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining sequences to optimize efficiency and quality • Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions and ensure program accuracy before release to production • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues • Revise and optimize existing programs to reduce cycle times and improve tool life • Support setup personnel with tooling lists, setup sheets, and process documentation • Ensure compliance with quality standards and tight tolerances, including GD&T requirements • Assist in fixture design and workholding solutions to improve manufacturability • Maintain organized program files and documentation for repeatability and traceability
