About this role
Dynamis is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), in Crystal City, VA or Huntsville, AL by assisting law enforcement (LE) entities and IA partners in their transnational investigations.
Responsibilities:
• Use digital methods to conduct all source and open-source research and analysis on matters of national security to support ongoing investigations.
• Assess foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address intelligence requirements.
• Exploit data from specific sources and raw intelligence and compile them to validate intelligence collection requirements.
• Identify trends, detect high-risk areas for weapons proliferation and prioritize enforcement approaches by applying research and advanced analytics.
• Deliver accurate , complete, and timely data to users across the organization.
• Work with Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information within the guidelines of statute, regulations, and policy governing the customer . As detailed in the Terms and Conditions all personnel will be required to obtain at least a Public Trust High adjudication.
Requirements:
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability is preferred) .
• Ability to obtain DOD Top Secret Clearance (current DOD TS Clearance is preferred) .
• Three (3) or more years supporting intelligence operations in the US Federal Government preferred.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in data collection, data conditioning, entity resolution and follow-up research.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in in mining or scraping large amounts of data from open and dark web; perform ETL (extract, transform, load) processes on collected data.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in social media exploitation.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in data analysis including trend analysis, link analysis, and identification of hidden associations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited University or five (5) years of experience working in a related field.
• Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook .
• Applicants must have ability to work in fast-paced environment, apply analytical techniques and critical thinking skills, have excellent oral and written communications, and willingness to learn and navigate multiple system applications .
