About this role
Purpose of Position
• CASETiFY is seeking a Senior Taxation Officer in our Shenzhen Finance hub. You will be the cornerstone of our regional tax compliance and financial efficiency. We are looking for a meticulous, data-driven professional to manage our export tax rebate processes and safeguard our preferential tax status.
Job Description
• Handle accounting, filing, and management of core taxes (corporate income tax, VAT, and VAT Refund) to ensure true, accurate, and complete declarations.
• Interpret preferential tax policies, maintain tax auxiliary ledgers and annual records, preserve high-tech enterprise and Qianhai preferential status, apply for incentives, and ensure full implementation of applicable policies.
• Respond to tax bureau inquiries and inspections; lead audit responses, mitigate risks, and limit any additional tax or penalties while safeguarding corporate reputation and business continuity.
• Understand business operations in depth, conduct regular tax risk assessments, propose rectification plans, and drive implementation.
• Stay current on national and local tax regulations, provide tax advisory and planning for operations, and contribute strategic input to business decisions and investments.
• Manage end-to-end export customs declarations: collect order details from business teams, handle platform applications and write-offs, submit via Customs Single Window, supply full documentation to brokers/forwarders, track progress, and resolve corrections for smooth clearance.
• Organize and reconcile complete customs documents (contracts, delivery notes, invoices, bills of lading, bank slips, etc.) for three-way matching and closed-loop management; maintain structured filing with consistent logical timelines.
• Implement job rotation, prepare rosters, complete daily handovers and Customs Declaration Handover Log, and remain reachable outside working hours for urgent declaration matters.
• Align shipping and loading schedules with business teams, submit timely VAT Refund filings, coordinate with platforms, customs, and brokers to resolve issues, and support foreign exchange settlement write-offs.
• Maintain the Export Customs Declaration Ledger, submit weekly reports to the Finance Manager, monitor new customs and VAT Refund policies, analyze impacts, and propose process improvements.
• Resolve declaration exceptions (inspections, document discrepancies, HS code challenges); conduct self-inspections, support on-site audits, and build strong relationships with tax and customs authorities.
• Complete other duties assigned by superiors.
Requirement
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma Holder in Accounting, Business or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of related working experience. Experience within the E-commerce or Retail sectors is a definite advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software is required; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
• A strong team player with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
